“These sweeter, unconventional boy name trends include S-surnames like Wells and Rhodes, and newer cowboy names like Dutton and Wilder.” She says that means choosing Kit over Christopher, Royal over Charles and Huck or Sawyer over names like Tom.
These names actually bring together certain trends that have been around for some time.
The first is to use a nickname as a full name, such as Ace or Billy (including the name of royal baby Archie). The second goes back to so-called “oldie” names, or retro names like Gus and Otis. Put it all together and you have cute names like Teddy.
Modern Baby Boy Names List
Things change over time, and this is especially true when it comes to naming babies. What was once popular has been replaced by funky and hip names.
